- Merit Screw Machine Products is ISO 9001:2015 Certified.
- We can accommodate requirements regarding a Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) upon request.
- Raw materials used in production are certified as well as REACH, RoHS & DFARS Compliant.
- We continually monitor our quality standards and look for areas of improvement. Our system of 34 unique audit reports exceeds ISO standards and helps ensure we are operating at the highest level of quality.
- A rigorous and comprehensive QMS (Quality Management System) is applied to every aspect of our business.

Quality Management
- Quality Operating Procedures and Work Instructions govern our manufacturing process.
- Quality Planning – Each order receives detailed attention based on the customer’s needs and requests, beginning with contract review procedures.
- Print Evaluation and Engineering – We devote ample time to this process in order to meet or exceed customer expectations. A thorough analysis of customer and IP prints verifies accuracy, generates essential operator information and tightens tolerances to produce an optimal product.
- Risk Identification – In order to help prevent potential problems PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) is employed.
- FAI (First Article Inspection) – Reporting and verification of part conformity prior to initiating a full production run minimizes waste and delays.
- Monitoring and Measuring Production – Throughout production SPC (Statistical Process Control) is utilized in accordance with our stringent quality standards. Additionally, the Quality Control department performs in-process inspections for each job.
- Control of Changes – As part of our continual quality management, changes are handled with ECN (Engineering Change Notification) forms and process change notifications.
- Gauge Controls – Our extensive collection of variable and attribute gauges is managed through our GTS (Gauge Tracking System). Calibrations are done in-house or sent to a certified source with traceability to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
- Thorough Testing – In addition to comprehensive gauge usage, our highly skilled inspection department utilizes Optical Comparators, Profilometers and an advanced laser vision system.
- Approved Outside Services – Vendors utilized in conjunction with customers’ parts must first meet strict approval criteria. These companies are reviewed annually and reapproved based on quality, performance and on-time delivery.
